  2. New Members Register for Rewards in the App
  3. Tap on the fuel icon at the bottom of the app screen

  8. On the pump, select your fuel grade and begin fueling

I'm pretty sure I got water in my tank from a wawa, I guess it can happen at any station.

Yep.. Wawa is new to South FL but they're pretty cheap (competitive with Costco) and nice and clean with better food options than others. They're my go-to apart from Costco.

I am not sure how the transaction is reported, if Wawa app don't use a merchant code assigned to gas stations we may not be getting the chase 5x cash back

I have been working at Wawa for over a decade. Including opening new stores and working with the fuel team. Getting water in your fuel from a gas station is impossible.

Wawa actually threw their hat into the NY games years and years ago. And you are correct. It was too expensive of a venture. Not beneficial to the company.
