Free Shipping. This is for the digital masterbuilt smoker with window. Window is worthless after a few smokes.

Just an FYI if you live somewhere with winter, the electronic control control boards don't seem to like being left out in the cold. It's easy to change, but a $50 part.
I have this smoker. The function is good, but there are 2 serious problems and would never buy this again,

1. The digital controls keep failing (just randomly shuts itself off) so you have to watch it all day. I've already replaced the part once. This is a know issue with this control.
2. The smoker box is inconsistent. Every time you will have unsmoked wood, so you have to be very cautious that you add very small wood chips or dust as well as not adding too much.
I have this exact smoker and it does a fine job for me. (I am not a cook nor a bbq master but I am happy with the food that it produces). I like to cook it in the smoker and then drop the chicken or beef onto a piping hot grill to char the outside. As mentioned, the window is mostly pointless. Get yourself a probe to cook to proper temperatures.

Seems to be a pretty good price, better than I've seen for awhile on these electric ones. More so since going into the season and not winter clearance.

look into the cold smoker attachment. way more consistent smoke for all temps... plus you can smoke things between 100° and 200° with good amounts of smoke, rather than worrying about the heating coil to make enough heat to keep the wood smouldering. best $50 add on ive spent for them.

That really explains a lot. This is a great price. I had one before, but it fried out. Maybe I just need to stop running it in the winter, or bring it in.

Get one with wheels/lift or buy separately to add on. This is too low to use comfortably and will be a pain to move around. Good investment otherwise for beginners.

My only complaint is when smoking brisket it's super hard to get a proper smoke ring.

Get a pellet smoker tube. They're like $15 on Amazon and then use pellets. It should last you 6-8 hours.

Yes, this is exactly the deal I've been waiting for. My old Masterbuilt died back in January, and I've been on the hunt for another one ever since. Can't wait to start smoking again!

You put it on the heating element?

So what is the cold smoker attachment? Would it be better to put the $50 toward something else?

No -- you light it separately (I use a propane torch), let it simmer for a few minutes, then blow it out, and then just put it on an empty rack. It should self contain and stay lit and keep smoking for hours. You don't need to put any wood chips in when you do this -- just leave the wood chip inserter thing partially open to get a little bit of airflow.
