Nice deal, go for it.

Passmark score- 15,000

My Nvidia RTX 3070- 22,000

I paid a lot more in Jan. 2021

And MSI paid my $20 rebate from a SSD.

More Passmark scores:
GTX 1080 Ti - 18260
GTX 1070 - 13500

So really it's sort of that neck of the woods, if you can go off these scores. I'd say definitely still worth it if you need a card. Used 1080Ti cards are still around $500 on ebay. Can't go wrong with MSI and this one has nicer fan components + backplate.

Do we really have to have staff posting gpu posts everyday as prices subside? They are not deals as they will be poorly priced in a matter of days. It almost seems the purpose of these posts is marketing for the companies to sell as much as they can before prices return closer to normal.
This is a good deal today. And we dont know what prices are tomorrow.

Can I borrow your crystal ball?

Sure, it's called the energy pricing index. Well to be perfectly clear it's the CPI and energy is a component of it. As energy prices rise...mining is less attractive. When mining is less attractive gpu sales slow and prices that were held up by mining demand, drop.

Also there's this: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/gefo...-in-stock/

It's a good reference at worst. These prices have been very dynamic.

There was a time where x600 series GPUs were in the $169-219 range. We're not close to back to reality but it's getting there.

Not bad, it's what I paid for mine at Microcenter when it released in October. It's twice as fast as RX 480 8GB I replaced it with.
