Yeah, not great. The 3050ti is about 30% faster and even it is pretty weak. A 3050ti mobile is about 20% slower than a 2060 mobile. So this laptop is quite a bit less powerful than Nvidia's weakest last gen mobile GPU.

The two (2) models seem to be identical except for the OS. Might as well go with the Windows 11 model?

Looks like a good laptop that checks all my boxes.

I was looking for a fast laptop for Productivity (Multiple chrome / firefox tabs, Excel) and Video conferencing. Along with light gaming, namely -

X-plane flight simulator - https://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plan...uirements/
and Oculus PCVR for X-plane - https://support.oculus.com/articl...atibility/

I believe this should work.
Also, how does this compare with the Acer Nitro Refurb on eBay at $749 - https://www.ebay.com/itm/255332146877

FWIW, apparently has overheating issues. Apparently MSI also was trying to bully people into removing negative reviews on this laptop 😅 I did not watch the whole video, but I gleaned it from the comments.

Even $450 laptops these days have 100% sRGB and 300 nits brightness.

GTX 1650 is quite a bit slower than the 3050. And some games will not run on the mobile 1650 like forza horizon 4 and 5 for example.

Unfortunately the RX 5500M Passmark score is slower than a 1050 ti. The 1650 is 3/4 the speed of a 3050. But not to say the 3050 is stellar either.

Think of this laptop as a really powerful cpu, with slightly better than integrated graphics compared to other laptops who don't have discreet GPU

I keep editing this post. Also this laptop has some nice things about it. 144hz. Good base memory and storage specs. But I can't speak to how upgradable it is. Whether there's soldered memory or not.
