if you're not familiar with the Tread may want to research it before pulling the trigger. I've read some very unflattering things.

Its a Leatherman product and its not 1990 anymore so I wouldn't worry too much about people buying it.

Whats wrong with it? I've worn and used mine for 7 years. Solid as the day I got it. like all Leatherman tools. The tools work well. of course full drivers are better, but for on the go purposes, they work just fine. not to mention useful emergency tools like the seatbelt cutter and glass breaker to have just in case. This is a good price. The Only reason not to get one is if you were afraid of a little man jewelry

Does that Wave repair kit actually resemble a value of any sort at that price? It seems like a collection of dollar store items - a handful of zip ties, disposable sewing kit, a small tube of crazy glue, a couple of feet of paracord and a multi tool. You could raid your local Dollar Tree and come out of there with a similar 'repair kit' for under $20.

I'm an engineer in an industrial environment.

I broke the SIM Card Tool on one Tread, and just lost another. Other than that they've held up to a substantial amount of abuse....

And I've gotten more compliments on my man jewelry than anything else.
