About this deal:
This price is $80lower (44% savings) than the list price of $179.99.
This is an older model that was made originally by Saitek. That company is now dead and these units may come either from a Saitek or Logitech factory. Seems to be quality control issues so test it out ASAP.
A few things...
People recommend using Windows automatically installed drivers instead of the official ones for system stability. You will lose some LED illumination and the mini joysticks apparently will stop working - your call on the best option for you.
The non-pro version (this one) is apparently better than the Pro version after doing a magnet mod with 4x neodymium magnets.
This VIDEO[youtube.com]shows how easy it is to do. Roughly, unscrew the base, open it up and toss the magnets inside before closing it back up.
All in all though $100 is a screaming deal for this HOTAS... you just might need to treat it a bit more gently than you're used too.
I have a few of these and assuming they are old... there's one thing to be aware of. They have this rubberized material on them that can start to get real tacky over time. It's not very fun to deal with. Otherwise they are very well made.
Also since there might be nerds of the same ilk here, I shall share my Facebook marketplace find. I got my hands on a CIRRUS II FLight Console Assembly with everything, even the screen. It's nuts... was used for flight training by a school and got it for a couple hundred heh.
Time to get my ghost of kyiv on

I hate investing in something that's guaranteed to get worse over time. This and Logitechs more premium one will do that, at least for most people. I would rather go the extra mile and skip the entry level stuff. The Warthog offers quality without an extreme price ($499). It has perfect reviews everywhere, I haven't seen any pool of complaints anywhere about buttons changing over a year or two, getting worse and worse over time (which is a real concern for me).
I think the only downside is if you are on a budget and you are like me where you might use it 40 hours a year at most, it might not be the best investment.. for me, I'm okay with it.. by the time I'm 40yrs old it'll likely be ancient tech but for now it's really freaking nice for the price.

Is it better now that all the Russian terrorists can no longer get online?
It's hugely popular right now and with that, there was a great deal of fighting over Ukraine so they've disabled chat in game. I really think it should stay that way, it's way more peaceful.
I do want one command "You're a dumb f'k" that can be directed at teammates, would come in very handy.
Also, something tells me Russians will rethink what tech tree they use xD
Spec only refers to being compatible to Windows games.. Does this work on PS4? I just picked up Ace Combat 7 a few days ago. It's there a way to map the keys in Window to PS?

$100 is a no-brainer.
