Specs are okish and price is okish
USB type-c in front is nice.
My only issue is that Asus has been sketchy the past year or so.
I've built with Asus for years but will use something else next time around
Reviewers on Micro say this PC runs hotter and louder than it should in 2024
Fan upgrades were said to be difficult due to lack of headers.
Personally I dont like loud PC's.
An HP Omen on sale is probably better
Thanks for post. Good price, but sold out in Tustin, CA. Mixed 3.8 stars in 33 reviews said overheat and shutdown after a short time. Might take a chance on the last open-box as-is condition to save $100. Then buy a few fans to improve the airflow.
Shame it's not the Ryzen 7 5800X3D as the system is clearly targeted at gaming.
The 3D CPU would provide a 15% average improvement in FPS at 1080p. This is very game specific as some games see no improvement in FPS while others exhibit up to 40% improved FPS at 1080p. Improvement in FPS diminishes at higher resolutions (eg. 9% average improvement in FPS at 1440p and 3% at 2160p).
hard to imagine finding anything with higher gaming performance for this price though personally I'd pay a bit more for a 4070 system for DLSS 3, better ray tracing, more video memory, and lower power consumption (by 120 watts!).

On paper and part wise great deal! Some prebuilts have bad airflow and some don't.
You can check out some YT reviews if that bothers you. If your gonna run it in a really cool room it won't be that bad.
