I currently have the set as listed in this post to connect directly to my Hubitat Evolution hub via Zigbee. They also act as zigbee repeater for my hub which work really well. I keep hearing some user here mention about the advantage and disadvantage as using Hue bridge (bluetooth) vs zigbee hub, scenes control for instant. In my case, I would want to take advantage of the hue bridge also maintain the zigbee repeater feature. If you done it before and know if it works then share your experience and thought. Seems like you have not…
The Bluetooth feature is usable to help in provisioning the Hue bulbs to the bridge, but the bridge itself is only a Zigbee router and cannot be connected to an existing Zigbee network. Bluetooth is also usable for direct phone control to the bulb, but the bridge is not involved in Bluetooth.
If you want Zigbee scenes or Hue Sync features, and still need a Zigbee repeater, your best bet is probably Ikea's Tradfri repeater to replace having the bulbs you put on the bridge on your Hubitat's network.

I have 10+ smart lights/devices but all are no-name brands, Kasa, Yeelight, etc. They work fine but with both Google and Alexa, there is a significant delay before they change. So with the Phillips, do they:
A- Work quickly after command?
B- Do they require a hub?
I'm guessing any that work directly with Google without requiring a 3rd party app would be quicker...which none of my current devices do.

im going to replace one, replace the 4 regular LEDs in my bathrooms with this and a dimmer switch, and have 1 spare ill put in something else.
Love my hue lights -- the color bulbs are pretty, but $$$. The dimming ones are convenient -- in my case i do not integrate hue with anything, I just use the app to schedule lights going on/off/dim around my house. 10am? they off. 5pm? they are on. 11pm? they dim for the night.
theres a couple of places we have hue switches for them, but mostly we just rely on the app timer.

A smart bulb has a tiny computer and wifi /Bluetooth etc built right into it so it can be voice controlled or phone or computer controlled, automated, integrated with cameras or motion sensors, amazon alexa etc. It is not just a light bulb.
Also color smart bulbs have colors you can adjust and whites you can adjust and brightness you can control and adjust, they're not just one color on and off manually controlled dollar store bulbs.
If you walk into my house you can say alexa turn lights on, and alexa will turn them on over wifi, or they can be triggered by cameras or motion detectors or timers. If we go to your house and say alexa turn lights on nothing happens and you have to get off your butt and turn it on like an old tube tv that has no remote. Same goes for turning them off, I can be in bed and say alexa turn off all lights and it will turn off all lights all over the house, yours do nothing by voice or remote and make you get up from bed and walk around the house turning them all off individually like fred flintstone..
