just about all Dyson sticks are 20 min run time. I'm not sure why this is so surprising to you. Why did you expect more?
Last V7/V8 I would agree. But V10 and V15 which I currently use. With V15 I can do the whole house and still have battery left. So I will say 40-60 mins run time. Longer perhaps if not using the motorized brush.
I wouldn't say it's exactly worth the price but I love it. I accidently broke the main housing, reached out to their customer service. They were amazing and got me a new housing. So props to Dyson.
Looking for replacement batteries for v7 and v10, do you have any links?
Same, but I would only go with OEM from Dyson or eBay (if genuine) as the $30 cheap ones OP mentioned are Chinese and will only last a fraction of the time compared to OEM one.

I've had plenty of luck with Non-OEM replacements that have a longer run time and haven't degraded any faster than my OEM battery...

My V10 just gets 8 high 20 low setting.. the deal is that Dyson is pretty up front with the run times. People have spoken about it billions of times and people still look at these and down vote them because they never understood what the product was in the first place.
This has to be the worst Dyson product yet I ended up having to return it it plows dirt it doesn't pick it up the dirt cup opens on its own when you're vacuuming I won't be purchasing again

Replaced my mom's lemon OEM Dyson battery that last just over a year so I missed any warranty replacements. 3rd party battery on amazon for $25, lasting one year thus far with no issues.
Where does this fall in Dyson stick vacuum ranking? Like compared to the V-series? It's so confusingā¦
This is really for hard wood floors only, whereas the V series is more universal in terms of use cases. I would recommend this to someone who wants a really good quick pick-up tool, an elderly person or someone with a tiny home or RV. The battery life isn't something to write home about but it's nice to see they are finally designing them with removable batteries. I personally wouldn't buy one since I have Roombas and a dedicated Dyson Vac but if you have realistic expectations and understand what you are buying you should be happy with this unit.

I got a v10 refurb and on high battery used to be a solid 8 mins. Right now we're down to 7 which means I can't even finish the stairs on one charge. Still cleans great, always amazed at how much this thing picks up. It outperforms my corded Dyson when it comes to suction. However I wish there was a way I could run my V10 on the cord. Sounds weird but I wouldn't mind a corded version. Battery power simply isn't enough for all applications or whole house cleaning if you're trying to do it in one go
