I own the s9+. The worst purchase decision I have ever made. Crappy software and fragile hardware and expensive supplies and more…

I had this vacuum and here are my unsolicited 2 cents. The suction on this is amazing, and the dual-brush design is excellent at picking up hair and debris. The clean base also works great. With that said-navigation on it is horrendous (it'll get stuck every time you run it), it's terribly loud, and can take HOURS to vacuum the same amount of area it takes LIDAR-based vacuums a fraction of the time to do. Also, the replacement accessories are outrageously priced, and the generic replacement accessories are all horrible. The official brushes get torn up in no time, and are not cheap at all to replace. The app is good and well thought-out.

I sold it and bought a Roborock S7 with the auto-empty, and I've never looked back, though not perfect.

I have this set (Amazon Warehouse extra 20% off discount!) And I love it.
We recently remodeled and opened up our space and put in engineered hardwood. We have 3 dogs and a cat and it is 100% worth it to have your floors cleaned every night and hair picked up and have it auto mop a few times a week after it vacuums.
One thing I did notice for the S9+ is that there is not a decent alternative to the Roomba brand brushes which is a bummer. But they've lasted pretty great so far and hoping that a third party makes something somewhat decent soon.

Concerning this is their top model but only has 4/5 stars. I'm not liking some of the feedback in the reviews.

i'm not sure how other models handle corners, but the s9 seems to really focus on getting the edges, corners of each room

Not trying to TC and I've personally only had experience with the Neato Robotics Botvacs. I prefer the vacs that use Lidar. Came across the new model from Roborock and am giving it a try. Eagerly awaiting the Ultra dock (which will make the Roborock about $1169 or $170 more expensive than this deal). However, the Roborock has a front camera in addition to Lidar to help with obstacle (poop) avoidance.

No, the i8 is equivalent to i7. S9 is different (it has 4x suction of i7, and S9 is D shaped with longer rollers instead round i7, so theoretically sucks up more duston corners

There are more complaints about the S9 though
