I wonder why they have such a heavy presence in that geographic area.... maybe it is due to Newegg having their brick and mortar store(s) near there?
Are those still open? The only reason I know newegg has brick and mortar stores is because Microcenter would only price match newegg (back in the day, may their policy has changed since then) if you were somewhere in the NE (I forget where) and were by their brick and mortar store
I hope that someday, all Americans can have equal access to Microcenter, but for now, it is just one of the many injustices that we have to deal with that only some are blessed to live near one.
These CPU's are fine and hella cheap.
Microcenter has stores in yonkers, LI, queens, brooklyn, paterson.

However there's a couple other factors I consider:
-socket 1200 motherboards are much lower in price and available in greater variety
-using socket 1700 means annoying incompatibility with many coolers
