I've heard that number a lot, and I know it's a goal for the larger batteries, but I don't know that I've ever seen the 2Ah and smaller go for less than $25 solo.

Some people may only need one battery. A month ago, I would have done a solo 1.5Ah Ryobi battery from a reputable seller for $25, if they'd been offering it.

** That being said, this Amazon listing says the List Price is $100, which Definitely Ain't Right.

This is a really light battery.

Take that how you want. It's pretty weak and doesn't have a level gauge like the others. I'd stick to 2AH or better.

Source: I own one of these, and multiple 2 to 6 AH ones.

This is a ridiculous standard for the smaller batteries. This is the lowest I have ever seen one of the smaller batteries and wanted it for weight / size considerations and not the charge capacity.

This is a really light battery.

It's cheap and it can charge while you use another battery. It's also tiny as heck. If you only have one battery and aren't using anything heavy, sure. If you do serious work, 4AH and up for purchasing. I just ordered the 5AH for 70 bucks. Beats the current home depot deal of 2 5ah for 169+tax. Might get some real work done.

It's also good if you need to use multiple different tools at once. I've had to swap batteries between a drill and a screwdriver about 50 times. PITA.

Anyone have experience with the generic branded Dewalt batteries? I was going to buy OP's deal here, but I scrolled down and was surprised to see generics available, I didn't even know they existed until now.

You can get a 6.0ah battery for around $30 or two for $52. The brand name Dewalt 6.0ah is around $100.

In my experience, the 1.5ah Dewalts are better than any of the generics after 6mo or so. These lightweight batteries are great for non-tool 20v items like LED lights, the fan, bluetooth speaker, etc. Why tie up a 5ah battery on a radio?

If you expect an OEM battery, don't buy anything that isn't shipped AND sold by amazon or another reputable seller (acmetools, toolup, took it, home depot, lowes, etc). Thumbs down.

I have a pair of "4.0ah" generic batteries that my wife got a deal on. I'm not sure that they're true 4ah BUT they work good and keep up with my impact, blower or vacuum so I was pretty impressed given the price. I don't use my tools daily or for work or nothing so use is minimal between those and OEM ones but they didn't disappoint. I'm not sure which generic ones I got, except that they have a yellow sticker on them and they have battery meter like OEM

I own 2 smaller batteries ( came free with tools) and use them in my radio. Honestly seems to last 12 + hours per battery.

Some of us heavy users don't think that way. I think this is a good deal for a light weight max battery. I have a lot of bigger ones. But for certain tools and certain uses you don't want a big heavy battery.
