Yeah, I'm actually the type of person that keeps almost every box from my higher priced items. I still have all the original boxes from every a/v receiver, speakers, computers, etc. I've purchased over the last decade. I don't know if it was just brain freeze or what; I just never gave a thought about the possibility of needing to return this particular item and hacked away at the box it came in. Hopefully they don't take issue with it.. I was probably going to call Amazon directly just to inquire about it just in case. Regardless, I'm sure UPS won't be happy; the bike will probably take up it's own pallet.
The chances of them taking an assembled bike with no box are very slim.

looks like it's the lowest it's been. got this from amazon when it was on sale for $600 a few months ago(2022 Dec) it's a solid bike. what i like about this:

- assembly was pretty straightforward
- no screen, instead it has a simple LCD screen for the different data(time, calories, speed, etc)
- resistance is changed with a knob magnetically so the change is almost instant
- it's quiet, other than a pretty loud beep when it first turns on

what can be improved:
- the screws that connect to the front and rear stabilization bar don't seem to connect very tight, so if you use it with high resistance while standing up, you'll hear squeaky noises. it's a pretty widespread issue that you can find a lot of forums discussion on it
I have an IC3 bike and it's well built. The problem with IC3 bikes are that they have manual friction resistance so one never knows what resistance they are on. It doesn't show on the display and hence the reason I don't like riding it.

This (IC 4) has a magnetic resistance which is a plus. Does it show on the screen what resistance one is at? I use the Life Fitness at the gym and can see the resistance levels between 0-100. I adjust those myself with a simple switch in front to create my own workouts with varying resistance levels.

Also, how many knob turns does one need to go from 0 to whatever maximum resistance level this has?

I have one (technically 2, umm really one and a half), anyway, it's very nice and it's very heavy and pretty solid. I recommend getting some cycling shoes with SPD cleats. I just ride it, still haven't ever signed up for any of those apps, maybe one day. I have to say Bowflex/Shwinn's customer service is beyond excellent.
Please see my post above as I'm unable to do multi thread reply on the app.

For anyone who has or had a Schwinn IC 3 bike, is this a good upgrade? The IC 3 works well but I'm not happy with the multiple turns for increasing the resistance and also for not being able to see what resistance one is at.

Thanks for the response.
And are you able to see the resistance level you are at on the screen?

I have no idea how that would be handled but how I ended up with one and a half bikes was the original one I had had some damage in shipping and they sent a repair guy out to fix it and he did but he put some small scratches on it and it still wasn't perfect so they sent me a new "engine" the main part without handles, feet, pedals etc and never asked back for the other one. I am honestly not sure if they even have anything in place to take back a bike, one that is opened anyway. In a way it's kind of clever of them because if I buy the parts to complete the other bike it will be in the $300 to $400 range and I am guessing they will make their money back that way.

Looks like there is indeed a level displayed on the screen.

https://download.nautilus.com/sup...M.W.EN.pdf

LEVEL
The LEVEL display field shows the current resistance level. The range of resistance is 0% - 100% which can be modified by 1% increments. The Emergency Brake/Resistance Adjustment Knob is used to modify the Resistance Level by turning it clockwise to increase the level, counterclockwise to decrease.

Thanks. It does make a big difference in the bike usage. I'm not sold on their membership or any of the memberships for that matter, but the ability to change and see the resistance levels can help one create their own HIIT or interval training workouts.

I had to go to the basement just now to check everything to make sure it was right. The screen shows time, calories, speed, distance, resistance level and pulse. 18 turns to go from zero to 100.

I like the cycling more since its better for your knees but Buy now and schedule delivery a month or two out and think if you want this or a treadmill. If you ended up going with a treadmill then cancel this.

ugh i bought the proform deal at wal-mart for $150 a few weeks ago while i was waiting for this...do i return it and jump on this??
I just ordered the proform after seeing your post right now lol. I don't think it's worth 3x the price for me specifically.. I just want something to do as extra cardio after my lifts and don't care about any of the fancy features. I think the proform will be sufficient enough for me. Did you end up receiving the bike and how is it?

Thank you very much. And wow! 18 turns is a lot. Does it adjust resistance automatically when using with their own app or with Peloton app?

Get everything you have room for so if you get bored of one thing you can use something else or just move from machine to machine like in an actual gym. I have the IC4, a treadmill and a Concept 2 rower and might get one or two other machines later on.
