Ordered this about 4 months ago. Looks new except for the recon stamps on it. Performs well and a great deal at this price.

Is the 40v line worth getting into, when you can get similar stuff under the 18v line? Have plenty of 18v batteries ,but none of 40v
Depends on what you intend to do and how much power you need. I have a blower like this and a 40V dual-battery (2x 7.5ah) snowblower, and no 18V tool will do what they do. For actually blowing leaves around my yard, 18V won't do, way too much yard and too many leaves for that. If you want to blow off your driveway or patio, any blower is fine.

Any thoughts of this one vs. the Makita one that's going for $50? I have Makita 2 and 2amp batteries and none in the Ryobi 40v ecosystem.

This one seems a bit heavier but more powerful.

What do you think?
Well, a 2ah 18V battery isn't going to blow a lot of leaves. You'll have less power and less runtime. For hard surfaces, it'd be fine. And of course that deal is expired and doesn't include a battery. Might make sense for you but not for those of us without Makita batteries and/or who need to clear their yards of leaves.

Excellent deal! I paid a lot more for the same reconditioned blower. I prefer it to the Ryobi 40V backpack. Lots of power and fairly quiet.

Big savings but the drop from a 5 year warranty to a 1 year seems not worth it to me personally.

Is this deal dead? Website/webpage seems to be down. And, what's the deal with this website? Even after the revamp months ago, the website is still slow and buggy as before.

Seems like a good deal - I wish they had a good pressure washer on sale too…. Would be nice to have one order and one shipping fee.

I have this blower. Would highly recommend. Will blow wet leaves around over grass. Does get a bit heavy one handed after a while but mainly because of the kick it produces. A huge (yuuuge) upgrade over the 18v "sweeper" I have.

Never had any issues with the battery, although if it's not seated in the blower correctly, it slid out on me a few times. Glad the battery casing can handle a good drop. Agree with others 4Ah is better than 2, for runtime and power. Even if you have a small driveway/grass 4Ah lasts for 30min with a few spurts on max.

Speaking of battery run time, have you seen the new 40v backpack attachment that allows you to have 3 batteries on your back for any of the 40v tools (connects via cord)?
Is that a Ryobi thing? I've never heard of this and can't seem to google it either. so if this is something real maybe you've got a link to more details or something...

Nevermind I found it. Coming soon: https://www.ryobitools.com/produc...6396040299

Thanks. It's hard for me to keep up with all of their new tools, but I remembered seeing this in an email or ad recently.

Am I able to mix 18v and 40v batteries and tools? I just bought an 18v ryobi drill set with tools and batteries.
