Those are some thick frames for a "3 Side Borderless Design".

This is ultrawide so it is vertically equivalent to a 21.5" 1080p, which is over 100 dpi at 2ft and gets better the further you are from it.

I've seen people use this under more expensive 27" monitors (like the aw2721d) in vertical dual monitor setups as a status monitor so I might bite at this price just for fun

Not sure why a key detail like refresh rate isn't listed on the Sam's Club or LG product pages but the manual says this is 75Hz max.

Was gonna whip out my calculator and derive some trigonometry but you did it for me. Great response to parent comment

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. Would this be good with a mac mini m1 as a normal, everyday monitor?

I don't know about the dpi, but doesn't this have the same vertical dimension as a 23" monitor?

I picked up this monitor a few weeks ago and I think it's decent for $180, although I found the stand to be a bit wobbly. Most people prefer 34" size but I was surprised when I felt more comfortable with a flat 29".

For around $40 more some of the newer 29" LG monitors have hdr, display port, or usb-c if you need it.

I've seen sites use that assumption but the panel specifications show this vertical display height is 11.17 inches which is between the normal 21.5 and 23.8 heights. At 1080p the 21.5 is 102ppi, this 29 is 96ppi, and 23.8 is 92 ppi.

So many people completely clueless about ultrawides. This is the same pixel density as your normal 23 inch 1080p monitor.

Its ultrawide, many people prefer it over 16:9 format, as this ultra wide works great for work from home or office use...

So many pixel snobs on this website. I have dual 1080p 27" and it's totally fine for work/text. No pixelization or blurry crap. The down side to 4k or 2k is that the text is so much smaller.
