Microcenter's support/service is great. They will replace/ upgrade components that fail.

You pay the extra premium for the assembly and no hassle of rma damaged parts.

You could build it elsewhere cheaper. I'm lazy I got a g900 and love it.

Way overpriced/over cpu'd for a gaming rig. The 3080ti is a $1200 and dropping card. A quality 750w psu is $75. 32gb off ddr4 3600 is $125. A 1tb ssd is $75-90. Case of choice is $70-100. The cpu is $550...but you wouldn't notice a difference between it and the $200 cheaper 12700k/kf. Z690 boards start at $130+.

The 3080 Ti is really a rip off relative to its price/performance

no, they won't replace individual components in a build like this, they make you do the entire rma process yourself, with whatever company built the part that failed.

i know because i had a power supply fail in one of these pre-built deals, so i removed it and walked it into microcenter within 30 days of the purchase, but they still refused to support what they sold.

This is accurate. Amazon's 20% Warehouse deals can get a Z690 mobo with 1TB Gen4 NVME, 32gb DDR5 6400MHz ram, 3080 OC (waterblocked) with a 12th gen i7 for 2151 shipped. Add in a case, PSU, CPU water block, pump and all the tubing/fittings plus other misc small parts and you got yourself a system that's likely roughly the same gaming performance, but is way more future proof for $2,600... and lets be honest, cooler to all the tech dorks out there.
But who will build it for me 🤣

Pretty crappy price. If you grabbed the $1200 3080Ti from yesterday you could build an almost identical rig for about $300-400 cheaper.

Ok now add in mouse and keyboard, Windows, cooling, etc... Not saying you couldn't build slightly cheaper with slightly better parts, but calling it way overpriced is just not exactly accurate. Worst part about the build is the 3080ti, just not worth the price premium in a prebuilt or solo.

If you like DIY, then DIY. But calling this overpriced is pretty unfair. Have you thought about labor costs, software licenses, time spent troubleshooting the build, etc. in DIY?

This is a deal forum, not a forum for PC enthusiasts to project their own preferences.

As far as I am concerned, this is a deal for pre-builts. I don't see anything else better with this level of components.

I used PC Part Picker and I can build this for about $200 cheaper. So a $200 fee for assembly and having their warranty is not too bad.
