I had one of these non apple branded chargers and it was okay. My personal issue is that it didn't charge enough watts. I use a sound machine while sleeping on my phone and my phone wouldnt fully charge with this usage. It eventually broke and bought a stand that uses magsafe and apple charger.

This isnt also magsafe either, so aignment issues can happen. Some feedback from a text can also move a phone based on past experience.

I lik Anker, but I would pass on it.

The watch charger that comes with the Apple Watch 7 is USB-C. Based on the pictures it says to use the original USB-A cable to plug into the device. I'm sure if you had an old Apple Watch charger it would work for the 7, but would not charger at the new, faster speed.

Couldn't you just plug the usb c cord into a a regular adapter and still run the circular piece through this device?

This is a repost. But i'll comment again. I assume its because the watch cable plugs in via USB-A. The new one includes a USB-C. I have a similar stand that I have my old USB-C Watch cable (yes they have been around before the 7) with a USB-C to USB-A adapter and it works fine.

The watch cable plugs underneath the unit, into the USB port within the unit. The bottom cover then gets attached so it's all neatly concealed within the unit. You would have to make a hole in the bottom cover or somewhere behind to run the cable out.

You can use USB-A to USB-C Adapter and you should be able to charge.

I purchased this last time it was posted and returned it. Wireless charging the phone was a joke on this thing. Didn't even charge at 5W.

More like a 2 in 1 charger. Maybe 2.5 in 1 if you want to be generous. Need your own Apple watch charger. Which does make sense otherwise this price would be truly slick.

At $25, I don't know - you can buy something like this at 5 Below.

It cant charge Apple watch 7 because Apple changed the charging slightly with the series 7. It has nothing to do with the cable. I put my series 7 on this and it doesn't charge. I put my series 6 and it works like a charm. I also have a foldable travel charger for watch and its the same way.
