Nice specs. Matches the Gateway Walmart deal plus adds backlit keyboard. However it's $170 more and I'm still really happy with the Gateway, might be worth checking to see if the Walmart deal returns. I'm not convinced mine was a refurb.

It isn't TB. I tried one of those Gateways. The performance is great for the money but this Dell is much nicer.

I'll agree with you but it's roughly 50% more so choices need to be made. I'd say think of the gateway as a good but disposable because it's cheap enough.

This laptop is plagued by extremely loud fan noise,doesn't matter how you try to undervolt,reduce turbo clock speed or optimise through DELL app. It also has a very common touchpad not resgitering touch occasionally issue probably because of drivers which is still there or the material they used on the touchpad.You all can check redit*.I bought three times and had to return every single time and gave up. Have your peace of find and buy something else.Couple of months before Costco Hp Envy clampshell i5 1135G7 with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd with touchscreen 400 nits is one of th best in that range I found,battery 52wh, same as this dell but way better.and Fan doesn't run on opening browser tabs.

I got this for the same price a few weeks ago. Although the laptop looks nice but its battery has issue, not detectable by OS. It took us some time to realize and confirm that. Hence ended up to return it within a week..
I wonder if anyone ran into the same issue or we just happen to run into a lemon..
