A lot of people remove or drill out the flow restrictor to get a higher flow rate. On the U.S. models (Moen, Delta, etc.) this usually requires destroying the restrictor. Those companies sell primarily in the U.S., so don't want to get sued for being too easy to bypass. But on European models (Grohe, Hansgrohe, etc) it usually just pops right out after unscrewing the shower head. Those companies' U.S. sales make up a small percentage of their total sales, so they put in the minimum effort needed to comply.

however if you do, the plastic seams of the head may not
be able to handle the pressure so i had to reinforced mine
with super glue. once you set the plumbing into position
don't later keep repositioning it - it's all made of plastic and
won't take much abuse. this can be a problem if you have
a tall and short person using the same shower. despite all
the plastic crap, moen's cust.serv is good and will replace
anything broken that isn't clearly from abuse.

Get one with a stainless steel hose, it is infinitely more flexible and usable in the shower, more durable, AND looks better too.
