This is a slick deal! They're great for 2-4.5 year olds. After that get a 12v.

6V ride ons generally only drive one wheel. This makes them a super hassle as parents as it makes them veer to one (non-driven) side especially when kids are just getting the hang of what steering is.
If you are vested in a tool "system" (Dewalt, Ryobi, Makita, whatever it is) I would say you're probably better off in the long run swapping out the included battery in a ride on for an adapter for the tool system batteries. I've had 4 or 5 of these ride ons, with 4 kids, and they will ride them for hours *if the battery lasts*. Speaking for the 12V in particular, they generally don't last long (less than an hour) and recharging takes forever. Meanwhile, you can just have a pile of tool batteries and swap them out. Plus I find tool batteries charge far faster.
I believe the standard FP lead acid battery for 12V ride ons is ~ 9 Ah @ 12V. My largest dewalt battery is 6Ah @ 18V (20V branding is really 18V) and charges in maybe 30 minutes from virtually exhausted, whereas the lead acid will take hours.
Now I wouldn't buy into a system just to be able to use them for ride ons, as the batteries are quite expensive. Also, keep in mind you ARE overvolting the ride on, so there is some risk that you'll toast the motor, or probably greater that the gears will strip. I wouldn't try putting a 18V battery in a 6V ride on, you're asking for it to break.
