Passing on it. Read Consumer Reports Best Steam Mops and here is an excerpt:

"CR's take: The Shark Steam Pocket S3501 sits at the very bottom of our steam mop ratings, earning an Overall Score of 9 (out of 100 possible points). It's the only mop we tested that lacks a motorized pump, which means you have to constantly pump the handle yourself to create steam. The DIY pump can't pack the same punch. It earns a rating of Poor for its ability to clean in our tests, along with a Poor rating for its steam rate. It also has the shortest cord in our ratings—20 feet, 5 feet shorter than the one on the top-rated Bissell PowerFresh Slim 2075A."

That was ouch considering this thing has over 30k reviews on Amazon. I don't get it. If so many people like it, how come CR is ranking it at the bottom? Can anyone explain please? Thanks.

Better yet, citric acid does the trick and doesn't cause the steam to smell like vinegar for a month after cleaning it.

Yes, steam mops easily get crud off the floor and sanitizes without chemicals. Your swifter is costing you more too with supplies.

Pro Tip: Buy the 3 yr warranty for $7.....you will need it. I keep buying warranty for all Steam Mops because everytime ended up using it due breakage or steam vents clogging up.

Have you tried running a cycle with vinegar? Cleans up the mineral deposits.

The smell of vinegar actually dissipates pretty fast. I use it on my final wash cycle for clothes and less than a day later the smell is completely gone.

Yeah for clothes in the wash it does but for some reason it really stuck in my clothes steamer after running it through to demineralize it. It took a long time and several refills before I stopped smelling it every time I went to steam iron my clothes and I've used citric acid ever since.

O-Cedar does not have steam...well the one i got. Then couple of months later started to leak so mopping became a repetitious activity since now i was mopping the leaked water where I just finished mopping.
