I realize it's newegg we're talking about here, which is very sensitive to several that has been burned by them over the years, but this is a pretty decent deal. And honestly, there's so much negativity around newegg these days since that motherboard debacle, I believe they are doing their best to be on good behavior in delivering products properly.

And even if you didn't want the board and sold it off, the CPU would still be around the $275-$300 range I think after all said and done.

Considering to get it myself.

When people whining about Ryzen 5800X3D doesn't need a mobo upgrade. Intel throw 12700K + Z690 + Dying light 2 bundle with $15 less than 5800X3D alone. And you can still using your DDR4 from your old zen.

Yup, looks like newegg removed the pre-existing discount on the board...might've even been an pricing error on their part.

Good deal for those that got it...I wasted too much time still trying to justify the purchase for myself. Oh well, only want the CPU anyways...just keep waiting for the next sale.

It's just borderline ok IMO if you don't mind an AsRock board. I personally would've sold it off. When there was an extra $40+ off before newegg removed it, that was pretty darn good and well under $500 for both after taxes. That's kind of where you want to be at the moment for both I think.
