I tried 2 of these and both had screen defects, a bunch of stuck pixels. I returned both but before I did I hooked them up to my computer and it displayed nicely. It looked like 4:4:4 chroma and the text was nice. I did not calibrate anything since they were both defective. I ended up with the LG 43 inch from target ($171 + tax for me). Just search for it.
No restrictions as far as the tv itself. But the Roku OS is locked down. You can't add outside apps or non approved channels.
I had heard that some of the lesser Roku TV's were not licensed for some things, such as Airplay 2. Not sure what the details were. (TCL has no such issues).
Is JVC a real brand anymore or just licensing from some chinese shop?

I just received my TV from Walmart today. I can confirm this TV supports Airplay 2 and can be controlled by Apple Homekit. The screen doesn't have any dead pixels that I can see and the interface seems snappy enough. Going to connect an old chromecast I have to one of the spare inputs and it will make an excellent guest room TV.
