Lol. Woot is owned by and ships though Amazon.
Amazon just throws everything with the same barcode from all sellers into the same bins, easy for fakes to be thrown in the mix and no matter which seller you buy from they just pick from the universal bin with all the same barcodes

Very high probability of getting a fake through this deal, as fakes of this paste are rampant, and Woot makes it impossible to tell where you're buying from. If you're going out of your way to get fancy thermal paste, make sure to get it directly from one of their approved vendors.

Last time I bought Kryonaut thermal paste it came with an authentication code. You could verify the product on thermal grizzly's homepage. They're aware of the many counterfeits out there.

By the way, you're going to need that spatula. This stuff is THICK! I wouldn't count on using the "pea method" and letting the pressure from the heatsink spread it out enough to be effective!

Yes, it is thick paste. I use a straight edge razor blade, or a carpenters knife blade.
Had no "new" thermal paste so I ordered this from Amazon (Big Syringe) and temps on the i7-9700K (Last Fall $150 Micro Center Slickdeal) I just put together and temps are at 30 C. Have not done any testing as yet but so far looking good.

Manufacturer claims this is superior to Artic Silver 5 and is non-hardening. If so, it's a good deal. But keep in mind that these things retail for $7 a tube and each does like 25 computers. So you are not really saving a lot of money by buying one.
No way one gram will do 25 PCs. I build PCs for a living…

I would usually say that Kryonaut is overpriced, but at this price I'll take two. I usually use Gelid Extreme which is much cheaper and performs almost as well. Great find OP!

Good stuff. I would get this if i didnt have a bigger syringe already.
Same. One of the best thermal pastes you can buy. Since I absolutely refuse to use liquid metal on anything, this is my go to.

Word of advice: Thermal Grizzly products are counterfeited a lot. There should be a code inside the package to verify authenticity.

Once you open these tubes how long does it last? I have a tube of noctua h1 I bought 5-6 years ago opened and has been sitting in a box. Is it still good to use or should I buy some?

I had switched from Artic Silver-5 to this, though once Artic Silver MX5 released it's my new go-to.

Max temperature on Kryonaut is 80C so don't use it with high end Alderlake SKUs like the 12900K which are known to run hot. Past the rated temperature of 80C you will start to run into pump out problems. I run a custom loop and overclock the 12900K and learned this the hard way. After a week of use, temps skyrocketed on idle due to Kryonaut pumping out. Unless you know your hardware isn't going to shoot past 80C, I don't recommend Kryonaut, stick with Hydronaut which has up to 350C tolerance unless you love repasting every few weeks. I ended up using IC Diamond for Alderlake and Hydronaut for GPU waterblocks.

Don't go off benchmarks alone, while Kryonaut scores well in charts, it depends on your system components or how extreme you overclock. You will see good temps initially on the 12900K then wonder why your CPU idle temps are sitting at 80-90C after a few weeks.

Definitely. This happened to me in the middle of a build! I had to rush order another brand from Amazon. (At least it was cheaper!) Most thermal pastes come in tubes of 3-5g. This is 1g. You'll probably get 1-3 uses out of it tops. But it is considered one of the best.

Multiple independent tech sites and channels have confirmed that it's one of the best thermal compounds for lowering temperatures. That said, nearly all thermal compounds do at least an adequate job at cooling CPUs, with a good heatsink. But if those extra few degrees will mean the difference to your successful extreme overclocking, then Kryyonaut is one of the best ones to get.

By the way, you're going to need that spatula. This stuff is THICK! I wouldn't count on using the "pea method" and letting the pressure from the heatsink spread it out enough to be effective!

See the comments above. It generally retails for around $10-15 a tube (though Amazon currently has it on sale for $7, so either they're trying to get rid of a lot of it! or Thermal Grizzly gave them a sweet deal to promote it. Likely both!) But there's no way you're getting enough from this for 25 computers! That said, it's a great deal on one of the best thermal compounds on the market.

Not only is that Hydraunaut, which is a completely different product, but many experts and tech sites and channels that have tested them have said it's not as good as Kryonaut.

If you're looking to save a few bucks, and are using more than 2-3 applications, Noctua NT-H1 is almost as good, and is $9 on Amazon for 3.5g.

Here's Tom's Hardware's thermal paste recommendations, rankings and testing:

I see that Kryonaut is right up there, but in the charts, it doesn't seem to perform as well. Am I missing something?

Not sure where you got your info from but here is what I've found:
Quote :
Similar to Hydronaut, Kryonaut is the material of choice for the most extreme cooling, offering an effective working temperature down to -250°C. Kryonaut is a silicone-based paste, which allows the use of more aluminum in its mixture, providing better thermal performance and lower operating temperatures.
Working Temperature: -250°C to +350°C

This is DIRECTLY from Thermal Grizzly (yes I know they say it goes up to 350C but look at what else they describe)

https://www.thermal-grizzly.com/e...ryonaut-en

"Kryonaut uses a special structure, which halts the drying out process at temperatures of up to 80° Celsius. This structure is also responsible for the nano-aluminum- and zinc-oxide-parts included in the grease to compound optimally, to compensate for unevenness of the component (i.e. the CPU) or the heat sink, thus guaranteeing remarkable heat transfer."

So anything after 80C can be inferred that it starts to dry out. Which I can confirm happened in my case with the initial pump out and then drying. It's not that I am dissing the product (I bought it), it's just that there are limitations on what it can be applied to. A 12900KS runs close to 100C stock speeds, throttling itself even on an AIO or Custom Loop, it will dry this paste out with no overclocking involved. Just save the hassle and go with Hydronaut (if you want to use Thermal Grizzly) for anything extremely hot.

Do reviewers talk about this anywhere?

This seems like a huge downside. Obviously you don't want your CPU to run much past 80C, but still.
