Agreed, if you are planning on docking a laptop this replaces the charger, the dock unit, the speakers, several extra cables, with one amazingly tidy connection. That's worth $100 and then some. If you don't plan on using those features, it might not be.

You referring to the 32" ultrafine 4k model? Yes, that is also ergostand. I want that one too!

I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago for $349 which was after $100 off. I'll try to get a refund on 29th.

This is a very nice monitor for wfh. No need to buy monitor arms and the ergo stand works a lot better than the monitor arms you can buy below $100. So $300 is a great deal. Plus, it has usbc and built in speakers.

Same, I missed out on the 4K one (didn't think I need it). Will probably grab the 4K version this time.

Does anyone know what the discount price for the 4K one would but? I guess it would be around $500.
4K isn't going on sale, is it?

perhaps bit of a dumb question but would this monitor+mac-mini be comparable or better buy (bang for buck) than a imac?

Really depends on what you are going for. Do you want something that looks nice and cableless. Because with iMac with a single power cable you are done. There are other factors. with iMac you are stuck with 24inch, is that what you want?

I know the aesthetics of the imac cannot be matched but on other fronts such as compute power, monitor, and performance/speed? also future proofing.

How is this compared to the LG 32 inch screen quality wise?

In term of the computer itself, there isn't much future proofing going with the mac mini M1 as I don't believe that you can do any upgrade with it. The most you can do is get a new monitor, but that's pretty much it. In terms of the specs, I don't think the iMac is any less powerful than the mini as long as you pick the right one (I believe they are both M1 right now).

I purchased this monitor back in February and ended up returning it because 1) the monitor stand/clamp I received came with a large scratch at the base and 2) there was a red stuck pixel that would not go away.

After having trouble with the Costco return and having to repack everything, I ended up just keeping my existing dual monitor setup instead.

Just a warning to check your monitor carefully if you get this deal!

OP and/or others still haven't posted the link/source for the discount? Would be nice to see what other displays, if any, are going on sale on 4/29.

I'd like to know this as well. Buyer's regret on my 27" fhd Samsung curved, which Looks great for games and movies, but for spreadsheets all day it just looks bad within 3 ft, even with vsync and the other monitor features turned off.
Would be a bummer to get this and have the same resolution problem.

27in 1080p is bad for movies. I could see the pixels really easily. That's why I switched to 27in 1440p which was a huge improvement

It was $500, but there was a $50 off $400 coupon available to every member, so it was $450.
