Agreed, if you are planning on docking a laptop this replaces the charger, the dock unit, the speakers, several extra cables, with one amazingly tidy connection. That's worth $100 and then some. If you don't plan on using those features, it might not be.

You referring to the 32" ultrafine 4k model? Yes, that is also ergostand. I want that one too!

I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago for $349 which was after $100 off. I'll try to get a refund on 29th.

This is a very nice monitor for wfh. No need to buy monitor arms and the ergo stand works a lot better than the monitor arms you can buy below $100. So $300 is a great deal. Plus, it has usbc and built in speakers.

Are LG monitors considered good? I know some well known brands have issues (like Samsung). Hoping to have for 5 plus years

How was the resolution? I am thinking of spending the extra $200 for the 4k monitor, as I am afraid that QHD isn't enough for a 32 inch screen. But I have no idea if that's true in this case (using for work, nothing too fancy like video editing or gaming)

IMHO, it's better to aim for 3 years on monitors, so that one can change it after 3 years, if required.

Even for office-work, 4k seems better for eyes

Will the ultrafine model be on sale as well? Does this model have the same stand as the ultrafine version? Thanks.
There are two monitors that are part of the Home Savings Event and the LG 4k model is not one of them.

How deep is the ergo clamp where it holds on to the table? My table edge has a lip that's at an angle instead of a 90 degree drop. Also is there a minimum thickness for the table, since all the weight will be at one spot rather than more spread out with traditional stands. Thanks!

The manual says:

"For tables without a protrusion -The table should be less than 75 mm (2.9 inches) thick. ≤75 mm (2.9 inches)"

"Stands that are not fully engaged to the table may allow the monitor to wobble or fall over.
•Make sure the table is solid and stable enough to fully support installation of the monitor. Tables made of fragile materials such as glass may break.
•For tables with a protrusion -If the protrusion is located more than 95 mm (3.7 inches) away from the edge of the table, install the monitor only when a flat protrusion is located between 10 mm (0.4 inches) to 75 mm (2.9 inches) from the edge of the table."

I run 3 QHD monitors at work. IMO, 32" (or 31.5") QHD is perfect for work (and watching movies). Easier on the video card, as well. 4k is nice for text, but QHD & 32" means you don't need to have drastic text scaling and the occasional mismatched, tiny icons in a menu.

Anyone know if you can daisy chain 2 of these? Is this on DP 1.2?

I think 32" at 1440p is great and ran it for a while. I think the biggest issue is if you are pairing it with another monitor that is the same resolution and smaller, or higher resolution and the same size.

Once I got the M27Q (27" 1440p) it kind of felt awkward paired with either my 32" Omen (1440p) or 27" 1080p Benq gaming monitor. I am tempted to pick this up, but really hoping for the 4k version as I'm looking to have my M27Q be the higher hz gaming Monitor and this be for photo/video editing. The stand is actually a great selling point for me as I want this to be clamped to the side and able to easily rotate into vertical mode.

I think it's fine for my work. I write code and I use only one monitor. The resolution is not as good as MacBook screens for sure.

IDK re: daisy chaining and DP is probably in the manually, but for other reasons, this type seems like a poor choice for dual monitor setup. The stand is a major benefit of this monitor and you need to use the stand. If you want two monitors, it seems better to go with two monitors with VESA compatibility and then put them both on one stand.
