If you add 8gb of ram , meaning 16gb total... , its a basic laptop that will work for emulating upt to switch , but mordern games will struggle, for the price not sure why people expects 32gb ram , QHD screen, 1Tb ssd , etc ridiculous

dont expect much for gaming, the 3050 will struggle with games like GOW , only if you add extra 8gb will run decent
8gb of ram?
Also needs more ssd space. 256 is barely enough with win10 and apps.
Decent games taking up 30~40 gb of space.
One can see where they cut corners on this 'gaming laptop'.

The problem also is that dell doesn't install the brackets to be able to install a 2nd nvme. Last time I chatted with them it was about $30 shipped for the bracket and screw to make that happen.

So they have the second M.2 slot?
Forget $30 for bracket and screw. Amazon has them for few dollars at most.

Without promo this is not a deal at all imo. For the regular $700 and taxes it's too much.
You can put something much more decent for a 700 if it's a desktop but everyone knows that already.

Yeah. The extra you need to spend and the time to bring these up to decent specification is let's say another 150?
Then it's already 800+. Such a lame deal. These laptops that overheat and lose performance down the road anyway.

It's $15 for storage expansion bracket and $30 for another 8GB stick of ram. Assuming you already had a 1TB SSD in your previous laptop, this comes to $50 max.

Tried looking it up myself but is there a certain type of bracket or type of 8gb stick of ram to get? How do I know what is compatible? Sorry clueless when it comes to building computers
