I don't understand how Costco could sell these nice machines that uses the bigger pods, but not sell the bigger pods for these (in the store). They only sell the smaller pods, I'm so annoyed.

I dont think any store sells Nespresso brand Vurtuo pods in store. Sometimes you can find the Starbucks ones, but they dont compare anyway.

I was under the impression that this machine was discontinued? I certainly would not buy it, unless you are planning to try and get Nespresso to swap it our for you you with something like the VurtuoPlus. Check out the Nespresso subreddit, or even just the reviews on Nespresso's own website. This machine has been absolutely trash, and I am surprised Costco is even selling it.

This is their newest model, it is not discontinued.

I know it is their newest model, but the machine has been nothing but problems for them based on what I have read. I have had my Vurtuo Plus for 2 years with Zero issues. Perhaps the intent is to redo some parts of it, and release it again, but as of now, it is not currently available on Nespressos Website, not to mention from the time is was available it managed to get 3.2 stars compared to 4.7 of the other machines. I tried to reach out to customer service just now to try and see if it was indeed discontinued, and they would neither confirm nor deny it.

Buy a machine which uses Originalline pods, you will like the choice of pod brands. Buy a Vertuoline machine and keep buying DRM-ed pods from Nespresso at a price set by Nespresso.

You are right, I forgot those were Starbucks, but again I thought nesoresso did not allow 3rd party vurtuo, so I figured they were made by nespresso.

yep, but apparently not with the same love. I did not try them myself, but my wife got a pack to try, and said they tasted really watered down... I didnt feel the need to try. On top of that, without a sale, they really are not any cheaper anyway, or not by much at least.

I pass on all the new machines and stick to original machine and pods, better selection, better prices from third parties. Being locked to Nespresso and their own brand name pods is expensive.

Would not recommend the VertuoNext. If you check out r/nespresso, there is a high rate of them not working. Ours stopped working after a few months. Would rather have a VertuoPlus or something from the original line.

I have the Vertuo Next and had to get it replaced. Their customer service was great about it but the unit began leaking.

That aside, I find that all of the coffee other than espresso is fairly terrible. Maybe marginally better than Keurig but not enough to want to drink it. None of it tasted anywhere close to a halfway decent cup of coffee from about any cafe in town. I actually moaned with pleasure when I had coffee from a cafe last week because regular black coffee that tastes good was something I forgot even existed thanks to Vertuo.

I only do espresso now with this. And for that it's … fine, but not worth getting. I regret getting a Vertuo and would / will switch to the regular line.
