Meh. It's a $249 MOBO that's for 10th/11th gens and DDR4 (I know because I just bought it 4 days ago). It's realistically a $650 GPU, which leaves $100 for the subpar case and an abomination of a PSU (who doesn't buy full-modular?!?).
Not to mention the asinine distance most of us would have to drive to a MC...all because they insist on going the way of Circuit City by not keeping up with the times (selling online).

They still have cornered the local market on niche computer parts. Fry's was another but they closed , I heard. Other electronic stores like Best buy don't carry enough inventory. Thankful I have a microcenter 20 miles away and my local BB will pricematch.

I think Circuit City Online ordering system was very good at the time. Their stock was updated in real time, and you could actually order for store pick up on the spot, and get it within 5 minutes.

Realistically it's a $700 GPU... you can't use the word "realistically" as a replacement for "MSRP". It sells as judging by recent SD posts for $700 - deal with it and don't flub your numbers to prove something no one benefits from.

No, MSRP is $599 for a FE. I know usually only FEs go for MSRP. But in case you have been living under a rock, GPUs are back to MSRP again. That's why I even added $50 for more 'normal' deals.
But clearly I'm not the one who has something to prove here.

The lousy +2 popularity confirms I'm right.
Feel free to post a link where I can buy a 3070ti for $650, I'll wait.

The cheapest in stock ready to ship ones on Amazon are all at least $800 rn, and I can't imagine ebay is much better
I get his point on the price comparison for a whole pc (gpus bundled in pcs tend to be closer to msrp), but for a barebones system that's not an accurate comparison

There was an open box version of this motherboard at my local MC for 239, and even with that, trying to buy these parts currently separately, just the mobo used and the card together would be close to 1200 bucks, then you get all the other stuff for free.
Basically if you don't mind the idea of just slotting in your own CPU and ram, using all these parts for a while for a pretty good graphics card and motherboard, tacking on an 11700k which is currently 200 bucks (or kf for 20 cheaper), and a nice cheap 16gb set of ram for 50-60, would bring the total cost up to nearly the same price as just that motherboard and gpu separately. This is a steal given currently pricing trends. Yeah the psu is bronze, yeah the case is kinda ugly, but those two things can be easily swapped out for cheap given the amount of admitted slick deals for those two categories on this site every month. you might not even spend more than an extra 200 getting those swapped out for something nicer. and that's only if you even really care to sometime down the line.
if you don't have a pc, and want a pretty decent build, this is a solid way to go.
ALSO: the site description doesn't say it, but the picture on the box and the product pictures show a ROG STRIX 240 or 280mm AIO cooler. Which adds at least another 160 dollars to the value of this box.

What exactly makes the PSU an abomination? Non-Modular PSUs can still be decent, especially for budget and mid-tier builds. In fact, there are many modular PSUs that are absolute garbage.
