These are $15 at Sam's club , if anyone wants one or two but don't have a rural king near by.
Shipment costs also depend on package size, not just product weight.
.
They don't say what type of plastic(s), but if common PVC (salt, or sodium chloride for the chlorine and ethylene from natural gas) it is stable and no problems that I know of with leaching anything. Some PVC containers from China had trace amounts of lead and mercury, but I believe that has been resolved. PVC will degrade from UV, but will not disintegrate like other plastics. What that means is the exterior may fade that pretty exterior finish over time, but you could spray with a UV protectant.

Where you run into problems with any container is during hot weather and the resulting heat of the soil. Plants that are large enough to provide shade help a lot, but many herbs provide little to no shade and need to locate accordingly.

Personally, I think these are a good deal for being in season.

Anyone know if vegetables, herbs, or spices can be sown and grown in these? Not sure if it will release any type of toxins in the soil over time. I make planters out of untreated ceder but interest in these. Any one know how long they last?

Flowers are not included. That's funny they have to mention that but we all know why. I hope we all know why.

Doesn't seem to be. Looked at getting 4, shipping would have been $26.14 to CO

How big is this? Big enough to grow stuff like tomato plants (recommended 5 gallon minimum) or is it smaller for flowers and maybe stuff like herbs/pepper plants?

Local shipping is over 50% of product price for one of my properties.

They claim to use standard shipping companies, but considering how light these are, this is abusive.

Would anyone happen to know an approximate conversion for this if I were buying a nursery pot? 10Gals, 15gals, 20gals (probably not)?

A city pickers raised garden/tomato bed is a better choice than this type of planter. They used to appear on SD every spring (but skipped 2021): https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/553907
welp if link is broken for you too, just search SD for "city pickers"

I snagged 3 of them. The closest thing I can find on prime was 20" at $45 a pop. After shipping these are about $20 for a larger size.

We used these with a basketball balls and played whiskey pong in college. Those who didn't drop out became politicians and lawyers.

These look to be about, 3600 cubic inches, 2 cubic feet, 60 liters/quarts,15 gallon ( all rounded off )

1 tomato, or a couple peppers, or several flowers, or a variety of herbs, etc.
