Rats, at first glance I thought this was the actual game and not a DLC. Was ready to flashback to 2000 for a quick game

The game is published by Microsoft, so isn't it natural that it be redeemed via Microsoft? Amazon has had GOG codes, Epic codes, and other platforms too. Not seeing your perspective. Their desktop app is certainly not muscling into anything - it's as basic as they come.

Yeah I believe the dlc was free in game you just had to unlock them through beating some challenges.

It was free in the game but had to be unlocked by completing 50 daily achievements (1 for each state). US civ is one of the strongest utilizing the gatling gun.

So JUST the USA DLC is free? Useful if you have the game AND Prime, but not exactly front page worthy. For reference, looks like it's $4.99 regular price on MS store.

Pretty sure it has everything up to Dominion
