No, it will still downscale to the resolution of your TV. But this model is the best current Fire stick due to its speed.

Was able to purchase with code , Thanks Op but just you can buy one per account per credit card . So if you needed more just make new account and unique Credit card on payment . I was able to buy 3 order. Successfully with this approach

I have three Roku devices already, but have a shed tv I wanted to make smart. Should I pull the trigger on a fire stick? Also, are these moddable?

I've bought a bunch of these MAX sticks at a discount on Amazon but I needed another one. These are great devices for the price. I only like my expensive Nvidia Shield more.

Yes, it is very easy to get Kodi on these with add-ons, as well as the Cinema HD apk.

There's one very specific use case that might not/probably doesn't apply to you that's still worth mentioning. If your tv provider is Spectrum and you want to watch live TV, Fire Sticks don't have the Spectrum app and you cannot side load it easily anymore.

If you are considering a Fire Stick, get the Max. Performance is much better than the others. At this price definitely get the Max.
