Great deal if this is in stock in your area. FYI, the washer and dryer do NOT have steam if that is important for you.

Thanks for saving me the trouble to see if it had steam.

Our Samsung dryer stopped working just out of warranty. They discontinued the dryer and no parts were available to repair. After much negotiation they paid us $100 to use towards a replacement, which cost over $600. And of course the new dryer doesn't match the washer. I would never buy a Samsung appliance again.

Any reason why? Genuinely curious because we're in the market for a new washer/dryer.

I would stay away from Samsung. When we remodeled our home, we got Samsung everything. The fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, dryer, washer. Everything has either broken or had issues within 2-3 years. Some we fixed and others we still haven't yet. We replaced the fridge and dishwasher with another brand now but the rest are on it's way out. Never again.

The irony is that we hear alot of horror stories about Samsung appliances and I bought my Samsung fridge, wash, and dryer in 2014 and have been waiting for them to crap out so I can finally upgrade, however 8 years later and all 3 are still functioning great.

The washer even had a recall/class action in 2017 due to the "bedding" setting where they sent me a check for $625. I've still been using that same dryer waiting for it to stop working lol.

Knowing my luck, my next Samsung won't be as long lasting, but so far it's been a great experience.

Echoing the sentiment here, avoid Samsung at all costs. Multiple appliance people I talked to say they're bottom of the barrel. I have had horrible luck with their dishwashers.

My Samsung dryer and washer still going good after many years. Only thing on my washer is that it was rusting on the inside top. I used sandpaper and repainted those parts. I'm about to replace the springs on it because it keeps saying my load is unbalanced. It's probably worn out.

I wouldn't recommend Samsung. I have an older front loader and what is called a spider arm wore out, bacially it's an arm that attaches to the back of the drum and spins the whole thing around with the motor. Well the issue is that arm was made out of aluminum, and the drum was made out of steel, and due to galvanic corrosion the arm basically disintegrated into dust until the washing machine would damn near shake itself apart when running.

I feel that the engineers should have known about the effects of dissimilar metals, and oddly enough the failure happened right after the warranty expired. 🤔

In any case, I ordered a new spider arm, watched a few YouTube videos, got it coated and insulated and installed it myself. It's starting to shake again but this time I think it's the more common spring/suspension that holds the drum up that may be the problem.

Front load washer is the way to go. All things held the same, they use significantly less water per cycle than top loaders. Less water = less energy bill as well since you aren't pulling in as much hot water from your water heater. All around cheaper to operate on an ongoing basis.

Front load washers are more susceptible to getting smelly and moldy than top loaders. Leaving the washer door open and taking out the detergent tray after every use helps a lot with this. Also, run a self cleaning cycle periodically. Running it empty every few months with either vinegar or borax helps too. A bit of a hassle tbh but worth it given the benefits over top loaders.
