I wouldn't trust a promise from a rep they would add it since it gets emailed 2 weeks after delivery. If you don't get the card then, you're SOL and I'm sure you probably don't want to have the item returned just to get the card at that point. This way I have a screenshot of the item page, an order during the eligible period, etc so they can't say I wasn't eligible.

I did call customer service and they have added the card to my order which will be received after delivery. But I'm getting skeptical as one stated that u might never receive if we just trust the words from representative.

The item is no longer in stock, not sure how can I feel locked on my shop card. It's scheduled delivery in June though

I've had issues with the past few Costco online orders of Reps saying one thing that turned out to be bogus. At the very least get a written confirmation email stating the gift card will be applied to the current purchase. If they can't do that then cancel/return and reorder.

When looking at the eligible items list I see some that are less than 1000$. Are these there by mistake or there is a gift card for purchasing them ?

Some of these prices are really absurd. One item is half off ($325) at my local shop already. They are really trying to turn these into dollars wow.

I used my membership and used costco citi to buy a refrigerator. Now if I use friends costco membership to buy a sofa and use my costco citi card will that be valid purchase to receive costco shop card?

Costco membership is non transferable meaning the only way you would be able to duplicate the reward on your friends account, would be to pay via a card of your friends, that matches the billing name on file for that account. Otherwise, the orders will continually get canceled as the accounts won't match. Hopefully this helps.
