I am replacing a queen size innerspring mattress. Can I use my existing box spring foundation, or do I need additional support between the mattress and box spring (aka " bunkie board ") ? Suggestions ? - Thanks

As has been commented before, availability is a local thing, due to delivery requirement if buying online.
Two options: go to the store to see if available there and you have a way to self-deliver (and it will likely cost you $100 less at the store but who knows what for your efforts) , or wait and refresh daily as stock is replenished from time to time.

Mattress is crap. Not durable, sleeps hot! Hit up reddits diy mattress area, built your own 4000 king mattress for 1000 bucks and laugh. I went 1" support foam, under 8" pocket coil, under 2" medium latex and 2" soft latex in a bamboo bear zip cover. We should all be building out mattresses now! Customize and change and save their insane markups!
Interesting. Gonna look into this. How would you piece out a mattress for someone that runs hot, sleeps on all sides, and isn't too concerned about budget if it's worth the premium.

And if you don't mind elaborating, why is this mattress crap? Here's the breakdown of each layer for your convenience:

- Top panel with Tencel
- Gel foam
- Memory foam
- Wide coils surrounded by smaller coils

Terrible mattress. It degrades over time resulting in uneven depressions and lack of support. Mine was great for nearly a year, then it all changed. I developed back pain and wife developed hip pain. It eventually felt like sleeping on a lumpy ridge or in a depression. Costco was great with the return. Picked it up and provided full refund. I won't miss lifting such a heavy mattress when changing sheets.

Definitely still live. I was just able to place an order for Cal King even thought it was sold out for most of yesterday.

Has one who purchase a California King been able to find the right boxspring to include with the order?
Does Costco even sell split Cal King Boxspring?

This is not a medium this is a firm mattress and after a few months it is not flat anymore.

Sleeping on this bed for 20 months, still the best mattress we have ever own, So comfortable. It is a little firm, but the pillow top helps. We're in our seventies and turn the bed without any problems, handles are a great help. Still looks as good as new. Side sleepers right to the edge is fine. I believe the negative reviews, some of the quality inspectors must be having a bad day.

Memory foam beds are not good for your sex life. Takes a lot more effort compared to spring mattresses fyi. If you have a memory foam mattress you should get a "guest" bed that is spring
I have always had memory foam beds and that has never been an issue. I find the edge support is better on dense foam mattresses and that is important.

Hate buying something that I can't try out first. Does Costco have this in store?
They have similar ones with different names at the big box stores (i.e. Mattress Firm). Go in and try one out. When they pitch you just tell them "brb house on fire."

Tencel will not breathe very well. If you want anything breathable that is foam use latex. It would look something like this depending on what firmness you want: soft latex, medium latex, (firm latex, firm latex) or (6" HD36-LUX). If you want a hybrid do a double layer of latex and then individual coils.

The makeup of the layers will depend on your weight and preferred sleeping position. The heavier you are you the firmer you want the mattress so that it retains its structure of time. If you are a stomach sleeper you want a firmer mattress if you are a back and side sleeper you can so softer.

+1 for DIY mattress. and +1 for latex foam core/topper combinations. I've had the same DIY mattress for over 15 years, only replacing the top 2" layer once. It breathes well, supports side sleeping, and costs about 1/6 what a new mattress of similar construction costs.

I will however agree with another poster who cautioned that spring mattresses are better for, um, extracurricular activities.

Tried this and several other mattress from costco, sam's and other furniture store. All the mattress had the same problem , it sagged after 5-6 months and also most made be sweat as due to synthetic materials being used. I was able to return it due to costco's return policy. Now finally I got an Avacado mattress, no sagging and I sleep cool due to the cover being a blend of natural materials like cotton and wool that regulate temp very well.

This is my first time hearing it will be super firm as per my taste, so definitely wanna try it because of Costco.

Does this come on sale every year ? I will be moving to a new place in 4-5 months and doesn't want the shifting pain for such huge.

Thanks in Advance
