These deals are popping up everywhere. The 2 year backorder is finaly over but just months away from the new cards. Might as well hold out just a little longer.

I disagree. Better safe than sorry, there easily could be another shortage of the new cards especially early on. Also, they only usually come out with higher end models to start with so if you're looking for midrange you'd have to wait even longer.
I'd rather get the Sapphire 6900xt for about 1,030 from Newegg. For the extra few $$$$ you get a custom solution from one of the best amd partners.
Realistically with the 6950 coming out and rtx 4000 soon these will drop.
For $100 more you can get the toxic with 360mm rad. If you want to splurge now.
One advantage of the reference design is I think it's shorter than most or all of the AIB cards. I have an older tower case and I don't think any of the non-reference 6900XT I researched would fit without removing a 3.5" drive cage, whereas the AMD 6900XT just made it.

For sure. Prior gen cards tanked before the GeForce 30 series launch, then shot back up when everybody realized you couldn't actually find 3080 or 3090 in stock anywhere. I'm sure availability of AMD and nVidia's next gen cards will still be limited initially.

Man now these companies see how they can make even more money then ever , they are going to limit supply and create new gen gpu nightmare when ever they can.
Fyi double power draw rumored for 4k series. No thanks. I should have to buy a electric company to play games

maybe double power draw, so step down the tier to 4070 and it'd have the same power draw as top-of-line 3k and performs just the same if not better, but for less (at least msrp wise).
