I have the compact cutlery organizer but I was never able to use it. You need a deep drawer, otherwise your utensils will not fit.

I have the large cutlery organizer and the knife organizer. Both are great. A comment about the icons on the cutlery sorter - I used a sharpie to fill them in and they're WAY more visible now.

Could it go the wide way instead?

I also have the cutlery organizer. It works in my drawer, but you need to memorize where the silverware goes because the sorting icons are small, and feel like they are in the wrong place. Good price, but I would sooner have something else TBH.

Couldn't you put the silverware in the opposite way, so you know which is which? (Spoon part on the outside, etc)

The inside of my utensil drawer is 2" tall (actually measured it) and this+utensils fit. You do have to lay it right for it to not catch, but it only takes a split second of your life.

I have the compact cutlery drawer. I've used it in three different places with no issue fitting height/depth. The only issue that occurs occasionally is if you put too much silverware, it can catch the top of the drawer when opening. It rarely happens though and for the space savings, definitely worth it for an apartment

Well mine don't and I've spent more than a split second of my life. You must use really tiny utensils.

I have 2" drawers too, and the Oneida utensils, especially the knives, hit the edges of the drawer frame.

These cutlery organizers are the best. I fit so much utensils in them. Like what others mentioned, it's important how deep your drawer is..

I have this and love it. It really tamed the silverware with a real small footprint.

I also have the compact tray and I love it. My drawers are 2 3/4 inch deep, but there's almost an inch of clearance between the top of the silverware sticking up and the bottom of the drawer opening.
