I have dewalt 20v tools but for this price I'd do the current Milwaukee impact/hammer drill hack for $113.
I was looking at that deal at both of these deals as well. Sorry complete newbie here what is an impact driver used for as opposed to the hammer drill. I will use it just for around the house DIY projects and occasionally masonry.

I prefer the Milwaukee 12 volt impact over DeWalt. But prefer the DeWalt 13 volt drill over Milwaukee for the mechanical clutch. I feel the Milwaukee electronic clutch isn't sensitive enough

Googling will provide a better answer, but an impact driver is made to drive screws. The impact it has A different rotation than a hammer drill and a hammer drill like this is basically a drill/driver with a hammer setting so you can use it for small masonry projects but it's not overly intended for that. Get the Milwaukee 12v 2 tool setup for $13 more

The previously mentioned dewalt deal at lowes includes this drill, an impact driver, and a free tool (one of the options being a rotary hammer) for 199
