I've been a Canon laser guy for years, but after a family member and I both had small all-in-one Canon lasers crater on us (problems with the electronics both times that rendered the printers useless) I bought a refurb Brother all-in-one as a replacement. It has worked flawlessly from day one. I still have 2 older Canons that are doing well, an LBP6000 (2014) and an LBP6670DN (2013), both of which were dirt cheap on deals ($39 and $109 respectively). If either of them fails I'll likely replace it with a Brother. The Brothers seem to last forever based on what I've heard from you and many others. Thanks for sharing.

I have the HLL2395DW and the only issue I've ever had with it (besides the initial/stock toner being undersized) was because of my wifi network. I've upgraded my network (not to sort out this problem) and it's flawless.

I print way more now because I sometimes have to work from home, and it's really convenient.

I have a small home office, have used Brother B&W AIO + Dell color lasers for years. Recently moved, can no longer justify the space for both printers, have been looking for a reasonably priced AIO color laser. After 1.5 years of frustration, I decided to bite the bullet, go with an HP inkjet AIO.

Check out this refurbished HP ENVY Photo 7858 from Amazon. It uses one black and one color ink cartridge. You can find a compatible set for $35.00. The printer does duplex printing. Copy and scan. It's one of HP's top selling printers. There are tons of videos on YouTube about it. The printer is $114.00, but has been as low as $99 a week ago. A 3 year warranty is $22 if refurbished worries you.

The main difference is laser vs ink I think, ink might dry up and need some maintenance. For light use, cheap laser one from brother might still be a good choice.

I have had one refurbished mfc-l2685dw. It was cheap and worked great. The toner is not expensive too - the official one only costs ~$20+ for 2000+ pages. this is way much cheaper than Canon ink printer inks I had previously which costed $50 for only 100+ pages. I don't know whether brother will install chips and increase the toner price in newer model though… If they don't do that I will continue buy from this brand.

I have to ask this question because I will be buying one of these printers.

Does anyone have any experience with an all in one printer showing a "memory full" on the screen and unable to print/scan/copy/fax? I have a L2700DW that's a few years old with less than 2,000 pages printed. It always goes into sleep mode and can take a bit to start printing if I haven't printed in a while. About three months ago, one day it wouldn't print. After waiting and turning off and back on, it would show "memory full" on the screen. But I don't have any pending printing jobs or scanned jobs saved. Looks like I'll have to replace it with one of these. Just sad to toss away a perfectly good printer that just went out. There isn't an answer to the "memory full" issue other than delete or clear the memory on the printer, which I can't even do because there isn't anything on there.
