I recently got into this again after years. I bought a short course and a monster truck in 1/10 with 2S and 3S. I then got a Typhon 6S. If I had to do it all over again, I'd wait a bit and figure out 2S and 3S and make sure I like them. 6S is a big money commitment on the car and battery side, and it's way too powerful for me now, maybe not in a year, but I probably should have waited.

That's my thoughts too, I have a big rock v3 and it feels like too much sometimes. 6S sounds hardcore to me hehe. Also like something you would definitely never want a kid in control of

Same here. My girlfriend messes about with the 2s granite, I have the Big Rock 3S and I really can't imagine something 6S. My Big Rock already stands on the rear bumper for 30ft or more at a time. The dogs can't catch it, and I certainly don't need to throw thing more than the 30ft + it goes off the ramps I've built.

Haha yep mine is a monster, I upgraded the shocks and it handles rough terrain much better and isn't as much of a wheelie hog. Still tho I keep it away from my dog haha
