Have three of these and one Toto washlet still in use.. One Novita had for about 8 yrs and the other two for about 5yrs. The mechanical open works well still and so do all the other functions.

Compared to Toto washlet, the turbo wash on this is not like a single jet and the dryer does not move air as well as the Toto but still does ok. So unless you actually need an enema this one does the job well.

Biggest pet peeves:
The seat is not sealed well. Splash from using the wash function will get the rear of the seat wet and can get in. When you raise the seat it dribbles back down.

It is messy for how it cleans compared to the Toto. The spray is supposed to be air infused but I think you can use imagination.

There is a button to raise and lower the lid. This will raise the lid only or close both seat and lid if the lid is up also. There is a button to raise and lower the seat. It will raise the lid and then the seat. It will also lower the seat and lid when both are open. Pet peeve is I would like a button for just lowering the seat when lid and seat are open. I have grown germaphobic after getting these mechanical open close seats.

After a power loss, there is no memory. All settings including the light need to be reset. The LED lighting is not on by default.

When staying at hotels and visiting others without a bidet, you will get cold seat shock and struggle with using tp causing you to miss your cozy toilet at home.

The best:
The seats can stay pretty hot. Over the years it seems to have lost some of its ability but only about 20% I say from just my butt sensor.

The water stays hot no matter what. The Toto will get cold gradually. This can give your butt a spa treatment for a whole hour if you like but 2 minutes at a time as it has an auto timer.

Stainless braided hose, water filter, touch sensitive keypad, and motion sensor auto lid open function gives the bathroom a nice fancy feel.

At this price I would get one for all the toilets.
depends on the user YMMV
My sons piss on the seat - will the electronics/internals hold up to this wet salty mess constantly?

Our Toto is still going strong after 3-4 years, but this looks like a nice replacement if it goes out.

Can you adjust the length of the spray wand? Is the spray wand long enough?
The spray wand does adjust - not necessarily the length of the wand, but the position of the spray. For females it will spray further forward using the "bidet" button. For backside cleaning, you can adjust your preference for where it sprays and it will remember your preference.

Generally, this one feels upscale compared to the Brondell Swashes we have, but those are for the kids and are more durable I believe (i.e. the kids can stand on top of the toilet seat covers of the Brondell, but not on this).

I have the Toto S550e. Futile dryer. Just got used to a lil' dribble instead. But if you're full hippie down there ... maybe holster a heat gun on the tank
The dryer works ok, but we quickly realized that we're still going to use paper to assist in both cleaning and drying. If you insist in not using any paper, you'll be there for a while and we don't have that kind of time. And not to be gross, but if you don't use any paper at all you kind of can't be certain that you're really clean...

I paid over $500 for this about 5 years ago from an online bidet dealer. We have this and a few Brondell Swash's from Costco - the Novita is our favorite by far. It is still running strong. I'll be buying another for our guest bath.
I went ahead and bought another one - this is a great price for a full featured bidet. I'll compare features with our 5 year old Novita and if this has any additional features, I'll put this in our master and move the old one to the guest bathroom.

I own a couple of Brondells and I've used the BioBidet 6800 - all purchased from Costco. This one is my favorite, and at a similar price point to the others. We put the Brondells in the kids' bathrooms because they are supposed to be more durable. Haven't had any issues with those either after 3-4 years (which is a good endorsement of those), but the Novita is my favorite.

To stumble into the bathroom at 3AM and have the seat open up, be warm and provide enough light not to have to turn on the bathroom light - ideal experience.

I was looking for a bidet that was in the 300-400 range. I had my sites set on the Alpha JX but see this one with all its features. I think I'll go with the Novita. I am sad that I missed the deal on the bio bidet bb2000 for around 300 bucks on woot though.

The spray wand is not enough to be clean? You still need toilet paper?

Bought the Bio Bidet 2000 from the recent woot deal. I haven't installed it but more than likely will just keep it. Mainly because of the better water pressure. But this seems like a great deal and I would have jumped on this otherwise
from my own experience and people I know, Bio Bidet doesn't last long, mine last exactly 14 months then I gave up because of customer service(failed within 8 months then had to send back for repair and I paid for shipping), some of my friends failed within a year, some just after 12 months, we all have Toto now, you can tell from the design and material. Of course some people going to tell you their bio bidet have been strong for 6 years, my point is, they maybe better made years ago, but now maybe different.

I know some bidets need to run on its own circuit. Does this one need that as well or can I just tap off my GFCI in my bathroom?

you really should get a dedicated outlet, you will eventually start straining down that outlet. (I know) because I did this with my brondell swash, it worked, but eventually started tripping, and i got a dedicated outlet installed and never had an issue since.

the electrician who tossed a new outlet for me, said it can work, but once it starts popping, it will keep becoming more common from the bidet, I think it was running the circuit at near its max current, so I installed 20amp beside toilets.

but yeah, you can do it to see if you like the bidet and if its worth installing a new outlet. you may never have the issue, but he said it is common to do so

<blockquote>mrgamers<p>The spray wand is not enough to be clean? Ok, so need to have plug next to toilet. Wasn't sure where the hot water was coming from.

I wish more of these came with the premist option. Every bidet I have had without it sprays poop inside the bowl and it sticks there. The ones that premist are supposed to prevent that.

What is a premist option?
