If you need some low-end HTPC, choose the UM250 with 2500U. It will do the same thing as this one does. (and will have less power consumption)

I don't get your recommendations either, the HM90 is $200 more (half again as much), and the UM250 is only $30 less for an older, slower CPU along with slower RAM (2400MHz), along with half the storage out of the box, and it doesn't look like it comes with wifi out of the box.

ETA:
Looked more, the HM90 on the minisforum site is $200 more, but via Walmart it's only $130 more. Better processor, twice the storage, the second ethernet is 2.5 Gb, with more USB out, but not TF slot. Probably still worth the $130... if you can take advantage of those things.
In the FAQs it states the RAM is 3200MHz. Where you getting the RAM is running at 2400MHz?

That laptop does look like it might be able to do a 2 screen output, but I don't know the quality (4k?), it does also have an extra SSD slot.
Anyways, the best I could say is that it's comparable in terms of specs, but as a desktop use device, I'd rather take the Minisforum one and use my 4K monitors. If I want to lug something around I'd spend more money to get something less than 4 lbs, hopefully at most 2 lbs. I definitely wouldn't use that laptop as a desktop replacement though. It's not at all better specs than this box.

So not even $90 more with cb with prime card.

FYI: 32GB 3200Mhz CL16 ram only for 97 USD on Amazon right now. and 1TB SSD for ~80 USD on Amazon.
My point is don't spend money on overpriced parts(especially OEM)

for 90 USD more, you get a 50% better CPU 15%better GPU, and double the storage.
If both Intel, this would be awesome for home ESXi/proxmox homelab.
