The reviews are quite good, but my experience was that the surface was rough and everything stuck to the pan. The lower ratings at Costco.com are consistent with my experience (issues with non-stick and a rough surface), so I'm guessing I got the same defective version as some others got. Mine are going back.

I've had these for half a year and they've been great. I do get some very small bits that leave residue on the pan if I don't use oil/butter when cooking, but who does that? Otherwise it's completely reliably nonstick.

What is the purpose of non-stick on stainless?
I've always considered non-stick to be semi-disposable due to unavoidable wear, and stainless to last longer than the user, as opposed to cheaper aluminium with better thermal properties. Two opposing concepts.

Induction cooking would be one big reason. Heat retention/dissipation and pan thickness/weight characteristics are others I can think of.

Nonstick is all garbage. It wears out within a year and ends up in a landfill. Carbon steel or stainless last forever and are easy to use.
