Yes, two things to consider
1. S7 will automatically raise its mop by 5mm as soon it detects carpet
2. S7 has a sonic mop which actually vibrates the mop to mimic scrubbing, rather than dragging wet mop all through.

Man, I wish it came with the auto empty dock. Ridiculous how much more expensive the S7+ (or max, I forget) is compared to other brands. Bought the Ecovacs N8+ deal the other day from Walmart for $300. Just wish this was more affordable because I would 100% prefer this

I bought their refurb(like new) 2 weeks ago from Amazon warehouse. It was an s5 model in an s7 box. I raised it with Amazon support and they would not replace it. It's going back for a refund and fortunately I can get this deal

Doesn't have obstacle avoidance, but has a better mop since it vibrates and lifts. Might have a smaller dust bin.

My biggest complaint is the small dust bin, which is always jammed full. Would probably not be an issue if I ran the robot every day or 2.

Wish the brushes were closer to the width of the robot, like in the Neato. Wish it had obstacle avoidance, but not a huge deal. Gives a good excuse to pick up the room anyhow, but sometimes it would be nice to just run the bot without picking up first.

Best bot by far I've owned, and I've owned 3 Neatos, 2 Roombas, and a Scooba.

I don't know if this is most people's use cases, but for me, these are good supplements to a standup vacuum. E.g. let this to do pick up in between "full vacuuming." And to be clear, the areas this covers generally doesn't need revacuumed but they can't always get under the couch or under the table with chairs, etc.
