Amex Offers Spend $50 or more, get $25 back. Up to 3 times (total of $75). Google Fi - Mobile Phone Plan
YMMV- May be for select account.
OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. Excludes all other Google products and services. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $75 back) per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/2/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K3HS:0001

Add 100+. Literally added 111 offers for Google Fi and Dell to FINALLY show up. I was never even aware of this "hack", I always just assumed if you look and it's not on there you weren't targeted, but sure enough, adding a ton of offers leaves room for new offers to appear. I just about gave up after adding 80, but tried over 100 and finally it appeared!!
To make an early payment:

Go to pay.google.com.
Click Subscriptions & services.
On your active Google Fi service, click Manage and then Pay early.

I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.

I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer Frown

Update:
Fi Prepay works perfectly, I was credited today. Incredible deal.
I had to add about 20 offers to finally see it. I'm not understanding why Amex can't fix this in 2022.

I purchased an S22 and received a $75 credit. I'm trading in my S20 and getting $275 back for it. I'm expecting the credit to be reversed when the $275 refund is issued, but new credits to be issued for the monthly charges. I'll update with details if anyone's interested. $-50 for a new phone is pretty nice.

How much was the charge for your phone + sales tax (mine was $327.44). If yours is over $325, even if the $275 offset the phone purchase, you should still get one $25 credit for the remaining $50+ charge.

We have to used the phone we bought on FI for 120 days? Also, anyone tried to prepay $150 to get $75 in one shot?

Please do.

I think amex offers do strange things with partial refunds since amex can't quite tie to refund to the original payment. At least I've found that with things like Best buy orders and returns.

You have to keep the line active with Fi for 120 days, but you don't have to USE the phone with the Fi SIM. Some people use the SIM of their current provider in the Fi phone, but do NOT put the Fi SIM into another phone.

People who used the Amex offer to buy the phone got the $75 credit in one shot. So I don't see why you can't get $75 credit by prepaying $150. For people like me who only signed up with Fi for 120 days to get the phone discount and selected the minimum Flexible plan for $20/month + taxes & fees (totaling $26.23 for me), plus getting $20 Fi credit for using a ref code, it doesn't make sense to prepay that much.

Thanks for answering my question. I plan to use my existing iPhone and just resell the s22, but the promotion details says the phone has to be activated on the account purchased the phone for 120 days made me nervousSmilie

There's more information in the thread below related to your concern:
https://slickdeals.net/f/15718471-new-google-fi-customers-128gb-samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-700-s22-500-s22-300-4-mth-service-port-in-req?page=73#commentsBox

You do have to activate the phone (with the Fi SIM in it) by downloading and running the Fi app. Once you've activated the Fi phone, there's a counter (see attachment) that shows how many more days you need to keep the line active. There were posts from people who activated the phone, then took the Fi SIM out and used a non-Fi SIM in the phone, and the counter continued counting down. Using that line of thinking, I suppose you can activate the phone, then remove the Fi SIM and sell the phone before 120 days without problems. But that's just my 2 cents.

if you are part of a group where everyone pays their own bill, can you prepaid your line or only the main account holder can?

Fi bills first full month two days after activation. The third day after your activation date is the statement date and monthly from thereon.

I am not sure how they are able to get by charging a full month for 2-days of service. It is not even prorated. This could be a class action.

so if like u mentioned, 120 days requirement might be more than 4 billings . probably $20*5+ tax, right?

BTW, I saw the counter in account promotion page to show how many days left, so after counter become 0 (fullfill 120 days), we can pause or port right away?

thx

Cell phone bills are very hard to understand, even the reps get confused sometimes. The Billing Period is different from Service Period. I activated on 5/11 and the first bill was available on 5/13 for the Billing Period of 4/13 to 5/13. But since it's a prepaid service, the Service Period that it covers is from 5/11 to 6/11 (it's not explicitly shown on the bill). I've done many cell phone deals since Jan 2020 and that's how they all work.

If they were post-charging you a full month for 2 days of service, believe me many lawsuits would have been filed by now.

I've asked and someone replied that you can wait until the 121st day to suspend (or port) your line. You'll get a prorated bill for a few days of service (past 120th day). I have no 1st-hand experience with that, just what someone replied to my question.

Yes, it could be a little over 4 cycles. I didn't check it that closely when I did the Moto G Power 2020 deal last year with Fi. I checked those bills and confirm after promo period, you can port out and any remaining funds got refunded back to my CC.

I now bought Moto G Power 2022 with AmEx and have 60-day commitment.

You may be right. I don't intend to stay more than the 60-day commitment, may be a week extra for some buffer. Will need to see how Fi credit will be handled. Last year, remaining funds got refunded.
