Not a bad deal for the contents, but not sure what parts they have put in. I doubt it's all ROG components lol.

Similar pc reviewed by Steve (https://youtu.be/AQE0BWmGzto), very different specs, though.

The reviews aren't great as they cite poor cooling as an issue.

At the $1300 you should be expecting 1tb SSDs, none of this 512 ssd + 1tb hdd shit and possibly 32gb ram. While this used to be on the lower-end of the mid to high tiered priced gaming setups, this is now on the high end of the pricing spectrum. A good deal on this would be $1100. These 1070s in the asus rog series are typically also low-middle tiers to mid-low tier 1070s too.

Pass and wait esp since 1070s are getting closer to msrp
You mean 3070?

Yeah I have last years model with a. 3080 in it it only has one fan. And no where to add more unless you zip tie some towards the front of the case. I got a new case with 6 fans for like $80 off Amazon it runs cool now.

Is the motherboard standard?

Yeah, 512GB shouldn't be a thing at a $1300 price point. Hell, probably not even at a $800-900 price point. SSDs have dropped in the past few years.

My thoughts are this is basically the price of the sum of the parts + windows key. Not a slickdeal, but you're getting it already built and someone has done the troubleshooting, windows setup and driver install for you.

$1100 would be a steal since that's less than the net worth of the parts for sure:

3070 @ $5-600
i7-11700F @ $290
B560 Prime @ $120
16 gb ram @ $60
512 gb m.2 @ $60
2 tb HDD @ $60
PSU @ $50
Case @ $70
Misc fans & cooling @ $30
windows 10 @ $100

$1340-1440 to build this yourself w/legit windows 10

This is false. I just put a 120mm radiator+fan in the front with no issues.

I can't remember it does say ROG on it though. I've got it abs another 3080 and 2 3070 PCs mining. They aren't somewhere where I can look at them

4 screws, no hokey crap like that.

If you aren't savvy enough to figure out how to screw in from the front there are single direction push in rubber mounts that I've used in the past on a case that didn't allow screwing in from the from.

I mean, you could move the entire PC into new case right? I have dell prebuilt, G5 with 1660ti, i am happy with it.. but motherboard and PSU is nonstandard, and will have ot spend more to move it.

Yes and no, it is a standard model asus motherboard but they put a different firmware on it than the retail version.
