They just put out a recall for the last set of Insignia Air Fryers. Wouldn't recommend this brand.

It looks like this model number is newer and not on the affected list.

I ordered one as I was trying to upgrade our old air fryer to something better. Worst case, if it's the affected model number I will get my $$ back.

I'd be weary of any air fryer that is inexplicably 60% off right after a massive recall of devices that look identical. Spend $20 more and get a brand name.

I was at the receiving end of last recall. I don't like the fact that I have to wait up to 6 months to get a store credit. But this is not the same model. I am in the market for an air fryer to replace my insignia one that looks exactly the same But model name is different. But due to the current experience, I will not buy this from bestbuy.

Exactly, not like the logistics of this sale was in the works for MONTHS prior to the recall. Realistically this promotion (pretty much any large sale at a major retailer) was planned almost a year out.

I'd be weary of people attributing malice to coincidences...of course with zero evidence.

i bought this for the same price back in February. I personally prefer the backet type fryers and I find that this one cooks very unevenly between the two trays. Works ok if you remember to rotate. I generally don't use it, but my wife prefers it to our basket fryer...I'd say it's worth $50

I read that all you had to do is return it to the store and they would refund you there.

I just returned it as recall. I don't recommend this type of airfryers. The door got dirty easily and super difficult to clean properly. I will stick with basket type airfryers.
