That is understood. If there will be the rumored performance boost going from Samsung to TSMC, the 4070 will beat a 3080 and possibly in a similar price range (or cheaper if we are lucky). Since my 1080 Ti FTW3 is going strong, I am willing to wait.

Nvidia RTX 3080 MSRP is $700. Granted, OEMs will add additional stuff like factory overclock, extra fan, additional cooling etc but still it does not justify an "original price" of $1300 and then mark it down to $1k to fool you into believing you're saving money.
I would wait.

I have EVGA 1080TI FTW3, and it's amazing. I can still run games at 2k max settings no reason to upgrade until my monitors are 4k


I may go for the 4080TI in 3yrs or so. There is no reason for me to jump on the 3000 series.

Switch OLED (doorman lol due to emulation)
AYN Odyn Pro (Emulation best)

I have a lot to keep me busy for the next 3yrs at least.
