Unless your livelihood depends on getting a GPU now, wait. Reports of retailers hoarding piles of cards in storage in order to not sell at a loss (they also paid over msrp to get them). Prices dropping every week and new gen launching before year end with huge performance gains (info via Moore's Law is Dead). Patience, grasshoppers

Be patient folks. If you waited this long, just wait a little longer. Warmer spring and summer coming, go outside and do other things. Prices will fall like a rock for this. High supplies and low demands. It's just the first wave of cut.

I wasn't willing to wait any longer and this is the closest I've seen this model to retail ($810) so I went ahead and ordered.
Shipping kills it but I applied for their elite membership and got it for free that way. I have owned other evga products in the past so I'm not sure if there's another way to get it.

Arguably not a deal, a great price though!

If I could have found it for this price almost 2 years ago I wouldn't hesitate, also having been in their lottery with no luck since 2020.

I'm too bitter right now, I ended up with a gaming laptop.
