I have never replaced a water filter in the 12 years I have owned fridges. Just reset the filter warning and carry on.

Lol that's nasty if you actually use the water from it. When I replace the water filter on mine, the rate at which the water dispenses is much faster. I can't imagine how it'd be on yours. Unless of course you never use water from the fridge.

Yea, i live in one of cleanest city water areas and my filter slows down also within a year or so.... there is no way you can go 12 years without changing a filter and still using the fridge filtered water

Turn down the PSI that is going to the unit. I read it buried on the Samsung support forum.

I have the Samsung fridge with the TV in the door and have never had any issues over the past 3 years. Knock on wood. The higher pressure sprays the water stream all around the ice unit when it fills up and turning the pressure way down you don't get as much blow by spray.

This is a buy price for this filter. I got my last one direct from Samsung when they had it for $26 for one day a month ago. There is a decoder viewer on the package to ensure you got an authentic filter. This is a no brainer versus generic and the horror stories with ice makers clogging/no real filtering with the alternative filters.
Wow, need to get a pressure regulator for a fridge? That's just asking too much for everyday homeowners who doesn't know much about pressure.

I bought a Samsung fridge in 2017, and by October 2021 neither the water dispenser or ice maker work now. I think ice gets built up really quickly in the line, as it started working after a multi-hour power outage, but it stopped working within a few hours.

Just find a reputable seller. Making a water filter cartridge isn't rocket science. Same thing printing companies used to say... don't use generic ink. Yeah, cause that's where their highest margins are.
Yea. I ordered from filter from Amazon before. Havent had issues. But I do order one that are sold by then. Not a third party.

Fakes are all over amazon and can seriously mess you up.

Water filters are the one thing I buy, full price from reputable B&M stores. It stings, but its worth it

Shudder to think what would happen if I drank normal tap water, like a normal person. Probably shortens my lifespan on average of 1.2 seconds.

FWIW I have been using generic filter replacements for my Samsung fridge ($38 for 3 filters) for the past year or so and they have been working well so far.

Might want to consider those if you want to save yourself a ton of money in the long run.
